Hey all! My name is Emmaline and I'm 21 years old. I adore children and approach caregiving with empathy, patience, and mutual respect above all else. I strive to curate an environment that values upholding your family behavioral standards while making each and every child feel heard, supported, and loved. I'm looking to finish my English degree at Wayne State resuming classes sometime in the fall or early new year but am willing to work around your schedule. I am a huge reader and try my hardest to impart positive associations with reading and language arts in all children in my care, as well as inspiring them to develop their creativity and analytical thinking skills. I have reliable transportation that has the capacity for 2 car seats and a clean driving record. My CPR and First Aid certs are currently expired after 4 years of cont. renewal but I am looking into getting recertified. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been babysitting for family friends since I was 12 years old, and starting providing babysitting and nannying on a more professional basis when I was 15. I have experience working with children of all age ranges as well as working on a non-intensive level with children of all intellectual/physical disabilities from my experience working as a private swimming instructor and camp counselor.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to inspire a love for reading and writing in all children. I also enjoy going to the zoo, going for walks around the neighborhood, participating in age-appropriate crafts, and helping children learn how to prepare meals/bake. I also have four years of professional swimming instructional and lifeguarding experience and am a former competitive swimmer with extremely strong pool, open water, and water rescue swimming skills. This in mind I am more than willing to participate in safe and monitored water activities with your children. I am also more than willing to discuss the option of adding swimming lessons during our care hours for a small flat rate.

My experience with special needs children...

While I don't have experience in the intense treatment of special needs children I have experience working on a baseline level with children of all abilities. Most of my experience comes from working with children diagnosed with autism with low to medium support needs, children with physical disabilities, and some experience with children diagnosed with down syndrome.
