Summer is a great time for rest and relaxation so let me take some of the stress of you by helping you find a great nanny to match with your family! Day to day I like to include fun games, books, crafts, activities, and outings that encourage child development and play-based learning. I like getting to know kids and families and finding what works best for them. I create daily routines within a week to balance, play, work and rest so kids know what to expect and the days go smoothly.
I have been a professional nanny for 3 years, but my experience goes back further then that, with working in nurseries, babysitting and summer camps. I have also added to my career by taking certification and classes to further my knowledge. Outdoor exploration is one of my favorites! Wether it's reading a book, climbing trees, going on trails, playing in water or picnics, if we can do it outside, I liking getting the kids outside at any age.

I think one of the most important parts is helping give them tools and strategies for growth and exploration. Sometimes it's establishing calming areas or asking "I wonder what would happen" as we try a new project, but it's all helping form stepping stones for their growth.

As we were having a hard morning and 19month old was on the verge of tears, she took a deep breath and said "I need books" so we went to our time in/calming corner and read books! I loved seeing how the tools I had given her, helped her in the moment.
