I have been taking care of kids for around 5 years (I used to take care of my cousins in Colombia) Additionally, I worked in an NGO for 1 year, where I took care of 20 kids of different ages. When I moved to the USA I started working as an au pair (taking care of 2 boys of 3 and 7 ages).

Aditionally, endure them to take on small tasks like cleaning up toys after playtime, unpacking backpacks, carrying dinner plates to the sink, etc.
I also encourage to have an open and honest communication with parents to ensure family roles and procedures are followed.
