I enjoy letting them explore with art projects, science activities. I always read with the kids and sing songs. I believe singing with the young kids gets them to open up and express their emotions and social skills.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think being a nanny is caring right away for the kids you are watching. Giving the parents a sense of confidence that they can leave their child with someone who is going to teach and instill the skills that they have been teaching their kids. Loving them as they are your own kid, too.
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for a couple of developmentally delayed kids and I treat them and love them like any other kid. Include them in everything I did.

I love when kids just want to have a snuggle, they need that extra care and love from the person who is taking care of them. It shows the child that you really care deeply for them.
