I’ve been a youth leader for the last 4 years with my churches youth group. Which means I help mentor high school girls, I’ve been their leader since they were in 6th grade! My hope is that they feel like they have community that they feel seen and cared for.

At the age of 16 I started swim instructing and I continued to teach group and private lessons till I was 21 years old, when i decided that it was time for me to start thinking about my studies more. Being a swim instructor was such a joy! Seeing kids gain confidence in the water and having fun in a sport that means so much to me was so rewarding. I learned patience, strong communication (with kids and parents), empathy, and how to teach to different thinkers.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Anything they have a passion for. I love having chill days inside spent playing, reading, movies, and any other indoor activity. But I also love to go outside, a walk in the woods, time at a playground, swimming in a pool or lake, truly anything! Spending time outside helps to expand the imagination and to learn more about the world around them.
