Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have been a CNA. However, I have not done it in years, and yet when it’s in you, it’s in you. I have volunteered at the church nursery, family reunions, weddings etc. I’m one of those people, that if I see a baby at a wedding or some type of special event, I will go over and say I can watch your baby while you go get a plate or dance. I’m one that can hear a baby cry in the store & recognize, the baby is hungry. Sometimes I will literally go find the baby & talk to the baby. I’m one that if I see a baby, I will automatically speak to the parent. Yesss, I love babies.😇
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Some of the things that I do with children are helping them grow, even if they are infants. I tend to count numbers, with anything. If we are riding, depending on the age, I will teach colors & animals & say,” did you see that red bird”. And next time I may say “what color was that bird” this was taught with my set of twins that are now adults. It was interesting to see that, I had my twin son that was in the 8th grade at the time & I had took a friend daughter on a road trip & he was going over the colors, with her. As I was listening, he asked her”what color is the zebra”. She responded as a 2yr old & said black. I thought she did good to say that at her age. However, my son said “ Anddddd” she said white. I laughed & said to my son, I was like, she is only 2yrs old, give her some credit. She did good. LOL
I love to see children grow in different areas of their lives. I still reach out to parents that I have kept as infants that are now adults to see there progress..

The most important part about being a nanny...
I would say the most important part of being a Nanny for me is that the child feels loved & safe. I feel that, when they do, they are able to sleep better. Eat in joy. And grow faster on different levels. I also like for parents to know & see the results as well. I want them to be able feel safe & comfortable with me being with there child.
My experience with special needs children...
My experience with special needs is very little. I had a overnight with one special needs child that was like 16yrs old and I had the Mom on stand by, because I think he was nervous about being away from his Mom & yet I wanted him to feel comfortable. I was nervous myself, because I didn’t know what to expect, since he didn’t sleep much at night. Overall, his Mom called to talk to him & he slept well & did a good job overall. However, I like for both parties to feel free to communicate & feel safe.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my most favorite moments is when I babysat a set of twins that were around 7 or 8 months old. I had watched them for a neighbor, due to an appointment she had to go to. However, the treasure moment was, I had finished feeding & changing them & put them in the same play pin to take there nap. However, they began kicking in bicycle motion. I said hey, wait a min. And they stopped. I laughed & then I said go. Then they both kicked at the same time. I thought it was to cute, I did it several times & recorded it to show love ones. They thought it was hilarious. That was indeed my pay for the day.
