I took ECE classes in college. Worked as a summer camp teacher, preschool assistant teacher, substitute teacher and worked as a Behavioral technician.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Depending on the age group, I prefer child led activities and I will just assist them, unless the parents would want me to do a specific activity with the child/children. We can also do a baby led activity like baking cupcakes, science experiments or theatrical play., etc, the ideas are never ending.
The most important part about being a nanny...
What matters to me most is making sure the children don’t feel sad once there parents are gone for the day, I want them to feel loved and cherished outside of their parents presence. Another thing that matters to me is making sure the parents are at peace leaving their children in my care, feeling secure that I will care for them like I would loving care for my daughter. And last but not least I want to make sure that I leave a massive positive impact on the children after we say goodbye for the day or after we permanently part ways in the future.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience with autistic children, down syndrome , learning disability and children who are physically disabled. I worked as an RBT for schools, I’m home and in center.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Playing in the rain with my kids because they really wanted to go to the playground but the rain ruined the fun so i asked the parents for permission and they allowed us to go outside for 30 minutes to play splash 💦 splash. It was years ago but I still remember it like it was yesterday.
