A little bit about me

Hi there! I have over 7 years of experience working with both neurodivergent and neurotypical children from preschool to high school age. I also hold a BS in Psychology from the University of Oregon. From being a special education teacher in the schools, to reading books to preschoolers at a local nonprofit bilingual preschool, to leading activities at a summer camp; I love bringing fun, educational, and engaging experiences to kids of all ages based on their developmental stage and individual needs.
I am preparing to pursue my Master's Degree of Social Work at PSU in Fall 2025. I am looking for flexible work, I am available 7 days a week during the summer and 3 weekdays a week during the school year. I am prepared to enter the home environment and chip in with the kids and any other light housework that needs to be done in order to keep your home running smoothly. I would be happy to talk more, please message me!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Being an aunt, older sister, and "neighborhood older sister." I have always been the one to organize activities and facilitate fun for the younger kids in my environment.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Being outside! So many great hours of my work has been spent chatting on the playground, coming up with obstacle courses, playing basketball, or making daisy chains and telling stories!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Truly fostering the connection with the kids! If they’re feeling cared for and comfortable, everything else is smooth. This means making sure to do activities that suit their personality and interests and engaging with them at their level.

My experience with special needs children...

I have extensive experience working with special needs children as a special education teacher in the 4J school district, at the Early Education Program, and briefly as a Behavioral Therapist for preschool aged autistic children! I have always been drawn to these classrooms/groups because I find that just as with most people, a lot of what these kids need is an adult who will be patient enough to listen to their needs and pay attention to their successes.

Ezra M. - Seeking Work in Portland

Full-Time Nanny Available in Portland, OR: Ezra M.

Hello, I’m Ezra. I am 23, I have been nannying since I was 13. I have a very diverse background of experience and have a tremendous passion for having a positive impact on kids' lives, listening to them with an open heart, looking out for their emotional and physical safety, being someone that they and their guardians can trust and depend on. I have a focus on emotional wellbeing, having a keen and intuitive spirit for how to hold space for children to be themselves and be met with love and compassion. I love to read, play, talk, make art, be in nature, go to the library, listen to music, and much more with the kiddos I work with. I am becoming CPR certified. I am looking for full time work. I can be expected to be a dedicated worker because I am recently engaged and am providing for my young family (me, fiancée and kitty). I am a queer nonbinary person (they/them) with tattoos and piercings, and am looking for a family to accept and respect me exactly as I am. Thank you for your time!

Cambria D. - Seeking Work in Portland

Part-Time Nanny Available in Portland, OR: Cambria D.

"Hi, my name is Cambria and I am a 15-year-old babysitter with experience caring for my younger siblings. I have a lot of energy and enthusiasm and enjoy playing games, reading stories, and exploring the outdoors with children. I have been volunteering and participating in extracurriculars to develop important skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and communication.

I am interested in finding a family who values the qualities of dependability, attention, and responsibility, as those are the qualities that I aspire to in my own caregiving. I am open to potentially working with my younger sister, who I believe has a lot of potential and would be a valuable asset to a babysitting team.

Thank you for considering me for this opportunity. I am eager to learn and grow as a babysitter, and I believe I have the necessary skills and experiences to ensure the safety and happiness of the children in your care."
