I served as a teacher’s assistant in college through the America Reads program, supporting a third-grade classroom and assisting the teacher with daily activities. I’ve worked with children in preschool and elementary settings, and have continued to babysit and work as a nanny while raising my own son.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love incorporating sensory play, art projects, music and dancing, picnics, fort-building, museum visits, and painting pottery into activities with kids. I also adapt activities based on their interests—if a younger child loves cars, we can make a road out of paper on the floor and talk about different colors. If a child is active and enjoys hide-and-seek but needs to practice math or reading, I can create a scavenger hunt that integrates those skills. My goal is always to make learning fun and engaging!
