At a church based preschool in which I cared for children 2-4 years old. I was a teachers aide so I assisted in play,lunch,nap and outdoor ventures. After this experience I started taking more early childhood education classes and am working to become a special education instructor.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I’m a fine believer that physical activity can be beneficial in the long run and can promote healthy habits. Therefore I like to do a lot of outdoor activities like riding bikes, kicking a ball etc. Also I’m very creative so arts and crafts are another activity I like to do with children.

Is adjust to the child’s needs! A lot of people assume that a child has to be trained to behave a certain way but in reality it is a caregivers job to assist the child in their learning ventures and adjust to what they may need.
My experience with special needs children...
In the last family I worked for I cared for a 3 year old who had developmental delays in speech and cognitive. Therefore a lot of the activities we did together I would explain everything we were doing and have him repeat some of the words. His family did notice him gaining a greater understanding of his surroundings. Also I have siblings who were born with different disabilities such as behavior and physical so growing up I was always helping my mother care for them. Therefore I have a lot of patience and am currently studying to become a special education teacher.
The most important part about being a nanny...
When I worked at the preschool and all the child were fighting to hold my hand when transitioning to outdoor play so we all decided to hold one another’s hand while we walked to the playground. Such a beautiful moment for me to see the children happy and cooperative.
