More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been babysitting since the age of 11. I started out with just babysitting kids around my area and in my neighborhood. Then when the word got out that I was an above average babysitter for my age then I became babysitting families from all over. I have babysat from ages 4 months-13 years old. I have had the privilege to work with kids even on the spectrum and do have background history with taking aba classes to work on their motor skills. I am also available to help potty train and any help around the house I am able to go as far as doing laundry, dishes, homework help and plenty of other things that is asked.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love going outdoors and doing activities outside. My main goal is to get kids off of their electronics and to go and have fun outside while with me. I think that the more sunlight they have the better is is for the kids. I love taking them out for ice cream and most importantly going to the parks, walks or even just playing in the back yard. But we don’t always have to be outdoors because indoor activities can be fun too. Such as puzzles, coloring and even just playing games such as Barbie’s and even cars!

The most important part about being a nanny...

There is a lot of things that are important about being a nanny. The number one thing is to make sure that the kids and the families are happy with the way you are doing things. You never want the family to feel you are only there to watch and leave. Most families want you to feel apart if there family. Play a big sister or brother role with them. While babysitting/being and nanny it is always helpful to clean around the house and do light prepping for the family. Being a full time parent can be stressful so why not help out and take stress out the family and clean a little bit it takes no more than 10-15 mins to clean toys and wipe down items.

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared to two children that were diagnosed with Autism. Now working with them is a lot different of course and that is ok. Some will just need you to go slower with things or some may need to be spoken to a little different because they do not understand some of the things you would like them to. So all are different but what is right is to make sure you are making them happy and trying your best to work with them and push them off because they are different. They are human too and I love all kids no matter what.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment be when the first family I ever babysat for kids wanted to go to the park. We generally did this often but the kids seemed to be becoming less shy and wanting to play more games with me being included. The little one that did f talk much stated to me she was glad I was around and she wished I could hang out with her more often. See that might not be bug to others but it was big to me because she looked at me as family and that is what I was pushing for. I’m around so much I don’t want them to feel like they are only hanging out with a stranger. I want them to feel like they are able to be themselves and have fun around me
