My experience with special needs children...
I babysat a child named Cameron, “Cammy” two summers ago. He was a pre-teen with Cerebal Palsy. Cameron was the absolute sweetest boy. Although he had limited communication and mobility skills, we spent a lot of time watching Disney movies, playing with his toys and interacting with each other. I loved being what he needed and something he looked forward to.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Picnics!!!! I had 3 boys. They had a random day off of school so we decided to pack sandwiches, Capri- suns, cuties and pretzels and hit the road! (5 minutes through the subdivision) to the park. We spent all afternoon playing on the swings, playing tag, looking at the clouds. It was the perfect fall day- we all enjoyed it and they all took EPIC naps afterwards. Day well spent.
