A little bit about me

Hi! Working with children has always been something I love. I have 5 years of full-time childcare experience and 5 years of babysitting experience. I started working with children at 13 and became a full-time nanny after high school. For the past 3. 5 years, I've worked as a toddler teacher, creating curriculum and planning fun, age-appropriate activities that support children's learning, development, and milestones. I love making learning hands-on through stories, crafts, sensory play, and outdoor activities, and I'm happy to help with homework and other learning activities, too.

I'm CPR and First Aid certified, comfortable supervising water activities and caring for up to four children. I can also help with meals, cleanup, daily routines, and household rules. I'm looking for a long-term position where I can build a strong relationship with a family and provide loving, dependable care.

Outside of childcare, I enjoy family time, baking, and exploring new places!

I have several years of hands-on childcare experience, including working as a nanny, babysitting for families, and volunteering in school settings. I currently work as a toddler teacher in a licensed childcare center, where I care for children ages 1–2 and help plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and learning activities. My experience includes supporting developmental milestones, encouraging early learning, assisting with routines, and creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment. I enjoy finding creative ways to keep children engaged through play, arts and crafts, sensory activities, reading, and other educational experiences. I have experience working with children of various ages and truly enjoy helping them learn, grow, and build confidence.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love planning fun, creative, and age-appropriate activities that keep children engaged while helping them learn and explore. Some of my favorite activities include arts and crafts, painting, sensory bins, playdough, baking, reading stories, music and dancing, puzzles, and educational games. Outdoors, I enjoy going on nature walks, visiting parks and playgrounds, exploring, playing games, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, and other hands-on activities. I especially enjoy incorporating learning into everyday play, encouraging creativity, curiosity, independence, and developmental milestones while making sure children are having fun!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny to me is creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment where children feel comfortable being themselves. I want to build a trusting relationship not only with the children but with their families as well. I love being someone children can depend on, encouraging them to explore, learn, grow, and develop their own little personalities. It’s important to me that children feel heard, valued, and cared for while having fun and making memories along the way. Being able to make a positive difference in a child’s everyday life is what makes childcare so rewarding to me.

My experience with special needs children...

I have personal experience growing up around several family members with autism and Asperger’s, which helped me develop an understanding of different needs, personalities, and communication styles. In high school, I also volunteered in a Developmental Learning classroom, where I had the opportunity to interact with and support children with different developmental and learning needs. These experiences have helped me become more patient, understanding, adaptable, and mindful of each child’s individual strengths and needs. I believe every child deserves to feel included, supported, understood, and encouraged to grow at their own pace.
