I enjoy a mix of both indoor and outdoor activities that support creativity, learning, and fun. Indoors, I love doing arts and crafts, reading books, building with blocks, puzzles, and imaginative play. I also enjoy incorporating simple learning activities like colors, shapes, and early literacy in a fun and engaging way.

The most important part of being a nanny to me is creating a safe, consistent, and loving environment where children feel secure, valued, and free to be themselves. I believe in building strong, trusting relationships with both the child and the family, while supporting each child’s emotional, social, and developmental growth. Being someone a child feels comfortable with and can rely on every day is what matters most to me.

My experience with special needs children...

In my role as a preschool teacher, I have worked with children who have a range of different needs, including behavioral, emotional, and developmental differences. I have supported children who needed extra guidance with communication, emotional regulation, and transitions throughout the day.

I focus on creating a calm, structured, and supportive environment, using patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement to help each child feel safe and understood. I am attentive to individual needs and adapt my approach to best support each child’s development.

While I am always continuing to learn, I am comfortable working with children who require extra support and am open to following specific routines, strategies, or guidance provided by families or specialists.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments was when a child in my class who was usually very shy and quiet finally opened up during circle time. We were doing a simple activity where everyone shared something about their day, and for the first time, they raised their hand and spoke confidently in front of the group. The whole class cheered for them, and you could just see how proud they were of themselves.

It was such a small moment, but it meant a lot because it showed how much they had grown and how comfortable they felt in our environment. Moments like that remind me why I love working with children being able to support them as they build confidence and feel safe being themselves.
