More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Aside from nanny positions for the past 18 years, I worked in a daycare in Spencer ma, and I work in a behavioral health facility which has both adults and children. I also did a volunteer program when I was 18 for all special needs children.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Infants: I love creating a warm, nurturing environment through cuddles, reading, singing, peekaboo, and gentle sensory play. I also enjoy supporting their development with supervised tummy time and exploring age-appropriate toys.
Toddlers: I enjoy encouraging their curiosity through finger painting, blocks, pretend play, music, and dancing. Outdoor fun might include bubbles, chalk, and nature walks. I also love teaching animals, colors, shapes, etc.
School aged: I have done painting, inventing stories, playing dress up, and building with LEGOS. I have also enjoyed scavenger hunts, puzzles, or simple science experiments.
Teens: I have enjoyed connecting through cooking, baking, art, games, walks, and conversations about their interests. My goal is to offer a welcoming, supportive space where they feel heard, respected, and comfortable being themselves while developing their independence.

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is helping a child feel safe, loved, and comfortable being exactly who they are. I want to be someone who listens to their big feelings and celebrates their little victories. Whether we’re sharing belly laughs, working through a tough moment, or admiring a very important rock they found, I want children to know that what matters to them matters to me. Building trust with parents is just as important, through dependable care, open communication, and respect for their family’s routines. My hope is that parents feel at ease leaving their child with me, and that their child feels happy to see me walk through the door.
My experience with special needs children...
Autistic children both verbal and non-verbal, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, behavioral disorders (ODD for example), diabetic children.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my most meaningful moments was when a little boy told me I made him feel special simply by talking with him and listening to what he had to say. He began opening up and felt comfortable being himself, knowing he was cared for and supported. Learning that he hadn’t always felt that way made his words especially meaningful to me.
He always wanted me to stay and felt sad when it was time for me to leave. It touched my heart to know that our time together meant so much to him, because it meant so much to me, too. That experience reminded me how much it matters to slow down, listen, and help a child feel that who they are and what they have to say truly matter.
