More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
serving as a dorm proctor throughout high school, where I was responsible for a dorm of girls ages 15–19. I also tutored children ages 13-19 in English and science.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I’m very artistic and I ALWAYS carry coloring books and markers with me mostly for my own enjoyment, but doing it with kids makes it even better. I also love doing anything art-related, and I enjoy engaging in fun and educational activities your child might like while sharing some of mine. I love to cook and bake and share that with children too. I’m also active and love sports , I’ve done track and volleyball, and I especially love playing tennis.
The most important part about being a nanny...
is creating a safe, nurturing, and consistent environment where children feel supported, valued, and free to explore. It’s about more than just supervising , it’s building trust, encouraging curiosity and learning, and fostering confidence while making everyday routines enjoyable. A great nanny combines patience, reliability, and creativity, ensuring that children not only thrive but also feel happy, secure, and understood.
My experience with special needs children...
I worked at a summer camp with 4 and 5-year-olds, and out of the eight children I cared for daily, two were lower-functioning kids on the spectrum. They needed extra support, like gentle moments to separate when overwhelmed and a calm, understanding voice.
The most important part about being a nanny...
was when I first realized a kid I was watching LOVED chocolate cake. It was his second birthday, and his mom let him have a piece. As I was cutting it, he grabbed the whole cake and shoved his face right in it was messy, fun, and I loved every second of it!
