Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I used to always volunteer for vbs at church but also worked with infants/toddlers in the nursery. For some time I also worked with school aged children from 3-6 years old
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love doing arts and crafts with children, if they are allowed some screen time watching movies, listening to music. If parents are comfortable with outings then going to the park, zoo, or anywhere kid friendly. I have a perfect clean driving record!
The most important part about being a nanny...
First of all loving children and having patience! Some kids like to be to themselves and dont like to play but just being there near them they still feel that I can be a safe space. Eventually they do end up getting comfortable and we are able to communicate more.
My experience with special needs children...
I occasionally supervise 2 teenage kids with autism, they keep to themselves because they are older but they do like to have conversations a lot so I always have interesting conversations and they ask me a lot of questions which I don't mind answering.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was when one of my kids told me "I love you Gabby you're the nicest person ever" it really melted my heart and made me realize I do make a positive impact to the kids even when I dont realize it.
