A little bit about me

I grew up mainly in England despite being born in California and come from a big Mexican and Portuguese family. My grandfather was from the Azores and my grandma from Jalisco. I have family in both america and several parts of the UK. After I have grown up in England for several years, I have resided here in California where I live with my aunt, uncle and 5 year old cousin. They have entrusted me with taking care of little Essie for some time now. Whether it’s cutting the crust off her peanut butter and jelly, dropping her off at day care or taking her to her ballet class, I adore being around the crazy bundle of joy that is my cousin. I really hope to be considered for a position with your family as I am eager to continue my career in the US since I have moved back.

I have cared for children under 10 with autism during an after school program for kids with special needs. Snacks time, one-on-one sensory therapy, helping them study and getting them accustomed to dealing with neurotypical children their age.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Getting given a watercolor drawing of myself and a few of the children I used to take care of and being told I was the reason they were not only ready, but excited to go into middle school. It was refreshing to know I could make such an impact on a young person’s life.
