I am a college student attending University of Mary. My major is social work, and I have always been passionate about working with children. I am the second oldest of nine children, and have been babysitting on a relatively consistent basis since I was 13. I have also worked with a few children with autism as well as a few children with severe ADHD. I am now working at the Innovation School in Bismarck as an after-school care aid, but would love additional opportunities to care for children.

I have babysat and nannied consistently for families in my community since I was twelve, and I am currently working at the Innovation School as an afterschool care attendant.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love going on walks or going to the park when the weather is nice. For indoor activities, I love reading books, playing board games, and imaginative play, baking, and more. I also enjoy movie nights, but I believe screen time should be limited and used for winding down.

My experience with special needs children...

I have babysat a few different children with autism and ADHD. The children with autism were younger, spanning from ages 3 to 7. They were slightly higher on the spectrum as well.

The most important part about being a nanny...

As a babysitter, I love getting children ready for bed. My favorite moments usually consists of rocking them to sleep, reading books to wind down, and singing lullabies. I have always done pretty well with this aspect of babysitting.
