Hi, I’m Garielle Clarke. I’m 21 and currently studying Early Childhood Education while working toward my associate’s degree. I’ve been around kids my whole life — I helped my older sister with her six children, and I’ve cared for the four oldest since they were babies. As they grew, my sister started paying me to babysit, so I’ve had lots of real, day-to-day experience.
I may not have official certifications yet, but I’m gentle, patient, and really love creating a safe, calm space for kids. I’m working on getting my certifications soon, and I’m excited to support a family, help with routines, playtime, and just making sure little ones feel cared for and comfortable.

For me, the most important part of being a nanny is making kids feel safe, seen, and cared for. When children know they can trust you, everything else —learning, playing, listening — comes so much easier. It’s not just watching them; it’s being patient, communicating, respecting the parents’ rules, and creating a calm, loving space where they can be themselves.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments was doing arts and crafts with my sister’s kids. We were making little “picture frames” out of paper and stickers, and one of the kids kept saying they “weren’t good at crafts.” We took our time, made it fun, and I showed them that it didn’t have to be perfect — it just had to be theirs.
By the end, they were so proud of what they made and couldn’t wait to show everyone. Seeing that confidence grow from something so simple honestly made my day.
