More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have extensive experience caring for children as an infant teacher and postpartum doula, where I create safe and nurturing learning environments for babies and toddlers. As a PPD, I've provided 1-on-1 support to families with newborns, ensuring both the baby's and parents'/family needs are met with compassion. Additionally, my background as a school bus driver and autism behavior technician has equipped me with strong skills in safety, patience, and managing group dynamics with school-aged children.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
*INFANTS (0-12mts)
Key Milestones: Rapid physical growth, first smiles, crawling & first words(mama/dada).

The most important part about being a nanny...
It's very important that nannies truly wholeheartedly & unconditionally enjoy children and engaging with them. Time & experiences shouldn't be wasted as a child. Children should be learning, exploring, and growing mentally as much as physically. All those things come from the adults & influences in their lives and parents can't possibly do every single thing, “it takes a village”. Children shape the world ahead, and I hope to be the supportive, steady presence I was lucky to have growing up.
My experience with special needs children...
**I Am RBT Certified, currently doing ABA with kids with autism. I also have experience with Spina bifida, Speech impediment, a wide range of special needs, motor skills and much more.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments as a nanny was during a rainy afternoon when the little girl I cared for asked if we could “catch rainbows.” She didn’t fully understand how rainbows worked, but her curiosity was contagious. We spent an hour sitting by the window, holding up a glass prism I had brought, watching it scatter little rainbows across the walls. Her eyes lit up every time a new one appeared, and she squealed, “We made magic!” It was such a simple moment, but her wonder and joy made it unforgettable.
These little moments of curiosity and connection make the job so special!

Babysitter Available in Chesapeake, VA: Sheena M.
Hi! I have 20 years of experience working with children of all ages. I have a 20 & a 14 year old and have been full-time mom and homeschool educator since 2006. I taught both of my daughters how to read from an early age. Home education requires thoughtful planning and daily one-on-one teaching, multi-tasking and management of individual academic progress. In addition to parenting my own daughters, I have 10 years of experience teaching and tutoring young children in educational classes through various homeschool co-ops and schools. I love children and believe that every child is uniquely created and gifted in different capacities. I find joy in helping children discover their unique gifts and develop useful skills. I would love to care for children through providing for their basic daily needs; playing with them; and working with them on reading and academic needs. I can also teach basic life skills such as cooking, baking, cleaning, laundry, gardening, etc.
