A little bit about me

I spent 15 years as a Waldorf early childhood teacher. I may be the ultimate real Fairy Godmother. I offer nature-based play, whole foods, and screen-free care. Singing, art and walks to the park with me cultivate the grounding and peaceful pace that will help your children thrive, even in our busy city and through these crazy times. I am a long time yogini and grandmother devoted to cultivating health and creative imagination in our children. I worked with master Teachers in a charter Waldorf school for several years and then I had my own beautiful preschool on five rural acres. Recently, I spent four years with a family including three children who had been neglected and abused and saw them heal with these beautiful and empowering Waldorf principles.
Most recently I have been in Michigan caring for family. I am flexible in many ways so please inquire to see if we are a fit.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Walking, playing outdoors, jump rope, going to the park/beach/forest/creek, singing, drawing, crafting, painting, baking/cooking, sewing, reading, doing plays and puppet shows.

is protecting the sacred space of childhood with developmentally appropriate activities and giving parents such a feeling of security and trust that they can be completely present with whatever they need to do while I am with the children.

My experience with special needs children...

I spent four years caring for three children who had been neglected and abused. We did healing art, spent timeless hours in nature, ate whole delicious foods, did chores together. They thrived with my love and boundaries and continue to thrive in school and at home.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I came home to find 6 year old Kara sewing the finishing touches on a fairy garment she had made with our neighbor. It was so beautiful. She had designed it and done most of the work herself. I couldn't help but make a fuss over all aspects of it. The next day, i came home late in the evening and hanging on the trellis next to my cabin door, barely visible in the dark, was a second matching fairy raiment that she had made for ME!!💗
