A little bit about me

Hi my name is George Harrell and I am a young adult who has been living in Houston my entire life. I currently am enrolled in school and I hope to start my junior year of college in fall 2021. I am a very well experienced caregiver and I have been working with kids for about a year and a half. I've taken care of girls and boys at the same time from tutoring middle schoolers to working in daycares sometimes with or without help from co workers. I currently work as a substitute teacher under childcarecareers for daycares all over the DFW area where I currently live due to attending UNT for the past two years. I am very passionate about working with children and forging a bond with the child and parent to create a safe space and memories that both parties will never forget. I have no kids of my own just yet but I do have five younger siblings who have also helped in boosting my experience. It would be a pleasure to work with you.

The most important part about being a nanny would be keeping the kids safe and happy as well as creating a bond with them and their parents letting both parties know I am here to help.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with children who have autism. My experience with them comes from offering them toys and playing children's dance music to see what best interest them. I also do my best to make them feel safe and comfortable even when they are having issues with dealing with their emotions, I encourage them to take a breath so I can better assist them. I also offer them a hug to help them feel better.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My most favorite nanny moment would be when the kids I supervise are excited to see me when I walk in and never want me to leave.
