The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for the children in my care. This involves ensuring their physical safety, meeting their emotional and developmental needs, and fostering a positive, supportive relationship built on trust and respect.
My experience with special needs children...
I have had the rewarding experience of working with developmentally delayed and autistic children, as well as deaf children. This work has been incredibly fulfilling and has taught me a lot about patience, empathy, and adaptability. With developmentally delayed and autistic children, I’ve learned to use individualized approaches that cater to their specific needs and strengths. I focus on creating a supportive and structured environment, utilizing clear communication, visual aids, and sensory-friendly activities to engage them effectively.
Working with deaf children has also been an enriching experience. I’ve learned basic sign language to communicate more effectively and ensure they feel included and understood. I incorporate visual and tactile methods into activities, and make sure to maintain eye contact and use expressive body language.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my most rewarding experiences as a babysitter was assisting a child in learning to talk. I used a variety of engaging and interactive methods to support their language development. We spent time reading picture books together, where I would point to objects and clearly enunciate their names. I also incorporated fun activities like singing songs and nursery rhymes, which helped with vocabulary and pronunciation.
Interactive play was another key component. I encouraged the child to use words to express their needs and desires, always responding with positive reinforcement and patience. I used visual aids and simple sign language to bridge communication gaps, gradually expanding their vocabulary and confidence.
This experience was incredibly fulfilling, as I witnessed firsthand the child's progress and growing ability to communicate. It underscored my commitment to providing supportive and enriching care tailored to each child's unique developmental journey.

My sister has two children and I babysat them from when they were newborns to this day where they are 12 and 10. I have also babysat other children in my sister’s neighborhood, children from the ranges of 2 years old to 8 years old. I have also babysat children on Nantucket, a family of which I am still in contact with. I have also babysat a child in Florida whom her family have a home in Edgartown where they spend their summers.I love spending time with children, helping them with their homework, teaching them how to read, taking them to the nearest playground, and doing other fun productive activities. As a native English speaker, I am more than happy to assist in teaching your child English, but I am also fluent in Swedish and am more than happy to teach a child Swedish if requested.
