More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have volunteered with Spanish-speaking kids for a few hours while their parents took english classes at my local community college. I am also working to get my CNA. I was a lifeguard and a swim instructor (my favorite jobs in the world so far) for 2 years with over 150+ hours of experience. I have been working in childcare for over 5 years and love kids!!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love hiking, going on walks, going to the pool, crafts, reading, and just being away from devices! Although I like to steer away from devices I’m a sucker for a good disney movie night ;)

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part about being a nanny is being their friend and having them be so excited for me to come over! While I believe that being a friend role is important in their lives I also love turning any moment into a teaching moment to make sure we all get something that will stick with them throughout their entire lives.

My experience with special needs children...

I have a little bit of experience with children with Down’s syndrome. I volunteered with the Global Down Syndrome Foundation for some socializing activities over the summer

The most important part about being a nanny...

I wasn’t a nanny for this kid but his swim instructor (he was under 2yr in my parent and tot). The parents had told me that he is a bit shy but seeing him grow out of his shell to become an excellent swimmer over the summer had brought tears to my eyes. Every time I would go to help another parent and tot he would cry out my name and basically leap out of his mom’s arms into mine (this is super impressive and proves how confident he’s gotten in his swimming!). I had tried to set up private swim lessons and nannying for the family but unfortunately I had to leave for college before I could :(
