I was an in classroom helper for two years in high school with special needs students. I started a club in high school as well that revolved around making sure special needs students were included in all school events. In my college experience I joined the best buddies program, which I got a chance to be friends with a special needs adult and help them grow in the college life. I grew up with an uncle with Down syndrome who I helped care for as well. I have a passion for working with special needs children.
