I’m educated, energetic, and experienced!

Child care and education is my biggest passion. When I’m watching your child I will always make sure that they are happy and healthy.

I grew up working in a daycare and learning from professionals since the age of 12.

My volunteer work is expansive, I’d love to share some of it with you.

I have a degree in childhood development and education at UCSB, so I have a very thorough understanding of child psychology. I use this knowledge to better connect with and plan for the children I work with. I’m always reading new books and studies as well!

I am young, healthy, creative, and full of energy. I can cook healthy meals, play almost any sport, I love arts & crafts, and am happy to help with cleaning and other household chores.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have volunteered at daycare centers, in elementary school classrooms, and at UCSB (teaching young students in our education building). I also grew up babysitting all my younger siblings and cousins. I used to work for a children’s mobile summer camp a few years ago and have been a nanny for 2 years now (since I graduated).

I was playing hide and go seek with an 18 month old, although it wasn’t us hiding, it was her stuffed animal (this allows me to keep an eye on her). After hiding her 2ft long stuffed animal in the living room, she walked in as curious as could be, sighing with wonder about where her stuffy could be. She looked in the funniest places: under the rug, in a cup smaller than her hand, and even in books.

Besides the fact that she was ridiculously adorable searching for her stuffy in what we would consider silly places, this moment really shined a light on her limited understanding of size (something that helped me better plan our future learning activities).

This activity has been enjoyable for both of us and challenges her to really think. With time and experience, she will better understand where her stuffy can and can’t hide, building her overall understanding of the physical world.
