The most important part about being a nanny...
The thing that matters most to me about being a nanny is making sure that the kids feel safe and comfortable to express who they are around me. But more importantly, it is very important to me that the parents feel the same level if not more, safe leaving their kids in my care. I understand how scary it can be to leave your most prized possession in the hands of practically a stranger, so if there’s absolutely anything I can do to ease that stress, I will be more than happy to do!
My experience with special needs children...
I have actually had the opportunity to learn and work with special needs kiddos since I was in elementary school. I was one of a few who were allowed to help out and hang out with the kids in the special needs class for about an hour a day and ever since then I’ve always loved learning how each individual brain works and how I can support their needs. I did some 1-1s during my job at the daycare as well!
