I was a substitute teacher for middle and high school, including multiple stints as a long term sub for middle school english and high school Spanish classes.

I have run both theater camps and dance camps for kids ages 5 - 12.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to dance, sing, read, and play soccer! I also have a wide range of arts and crafts activities up my sleeve.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think working with kids is reciprocal. The heavy responsibility is recognizing how much of an impact you can have on a child's development, inner monologue, and learning. But in exchange for that responsibility kids keep you grounded in the present, and remind you to look at the world with curiosity and a certain degree of wonder.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When I was au pairing in Spain I spent all summer potty training my younger child (he had just turned 3!) Towards the end of my time there we went on a trip to London, and in the middle of this super busy sidewalk he tapped my hand and told me he needed to use the bathroom. It was the WORST possible timing because there were no public bathrooms anywhere!! But I was so proud of him for asking, and I'm so glad I was able to witness the fruits of my labor before I left!
