My favorite moment teaching was working one on one with a middle school student who was unable to read and verbally working through each question with them. Seeing the confidence grow on their face when they realized the reading barrier was no longer there and they could actually show the knowledge they learned was amazing. Even more amazing was being able to adapt future instruction to be more visual/auditory so they would be better engaged.
