I was a junior camp counselor all 4 years of high school! I was in charge of 12-15 kids ranging in ages 6-12! I’m also the oldest grandchild of 9, so I grew up taking care of and watching over my many siblings and cousins.

Arts and crafts! I love an excuse to resort to my elementary art skills and join in with kids. I also love exploring nature and reading with children!

Unconditional love! It’s true, no one can love your kids like you do. However it’s important to know that the person you entrust to watch over your little ones when you’re not available will treat them with fairness and kindness. Oh, and have fun!
My experience with special needs children...
I have previously worked with children affected by Aspergers Syndrome as well as Down Syndrome. I have worked with these kids one on one as well as in a camp setting (i.e: leading activities, assisting at meal time, etc..).
