More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I’m currently working at a daycare so I learned a lot of basic learning songs and tools for younger kids. I also specialize in infants as I am in a baby room 90% of the time!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I like dancing with the kids but it really depends on the age. I enjoy going out with the kids and doing activities but also staying at home and reading books and watching movies with them occasionally!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Understanding each kid and family is different and that it takes a little to get used to it but once you have a set thing going it’s so important to bond with each kid and make them feel special and loved because if they are not with there parents it should still be someone they feel safe and cared for by.
My experience with special needs children...
I Nannied for a family with an autistic 7 year old. I would take them to the swimming pool with him and his two brother ages 8 months and 6. I loved it. It was challenging but taught me a lot. I also worked at a speech therapy clinic where it was a lot of special needs kids and lastly I taught adaptive dance for special needs kids:) I love every second.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my nanny, families who has a two year-old and a four year-old I have started with when the two year old was only 4 months old so I got very close to them very fast and the two-year-old when he turned one. I was one of his first words so that was really riveting to know that I was that close and that important to his growth!
