The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny to me is ensuring children are safe and happy. It brings me such joy to watch how excited kids get or how happy they are to simply build a fort or color a picture together. Children are so inspiring and their imagination is beyond this world.
My experience with special needs children...
Aside from personal experience with my younger brother, I have babysat on multiple occasions for triplet girls! One of them had non-verbal autism and she was a delight to be around! I am highly educated on how to deescalate issues calmly and promote a healthy environment they feel comfortable in.
The most important part about being a nanny...
This is a bittersweet moment: When I left my last nanny family due to travel time and personal reasons, the kids were extremely upset. I still babysit for them on occasion when time allows, and each time I come they tell me how much they miss me and that I "am the best nanny in the world." It breaks my heart that I had to leave them, but extremely rewarding and fulfilling to know that I had such a major positive impact on their lives at such age. My favorite part about being a nanny is the connections you build caring for these children.
