The most important part about being a nanny...

Being emotionally attuned to the child you are caring for. Little people have BIG feelings and as hard as it is to handle tears and tantrums I always know there is a reason behind the emotion. The more I get to know a kiddo the more I understand why they're having an off moment and what sort of help they need.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I was there when one of the little girls I nannied for took her first steps! Her mom was home (thank God!) and we watched as this tiny human walked down the hall with a big grin on her face. It was such a special moment that I'll never forget!
