More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Relevant experience where I also cared for children includes my current role as a Lead Toddler Teacher and my previous role as an Assistant Toddler Teacher at Camelback Desert School. In these positions, I have worked with children ages 12–24 months, creating age-appropriate activities that support cognitive, social, and emotional development while maintaining a safe and nurturing environment. I collaborate closely with families, provide daily communication about children's progress, and support developmental milestones through play-based learning. Additionally, my Bachelor's degree in Family and Human Development from Arizona State University has strengthened my understanding of child development and family dynamics.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love doing activities that allow children to learn, explore, and have fun at the same time! Some of my favorites include sensory play, arts and crafts, reading stories, outdoor adventures, music and dancing, and imaginative play. I enjoy getting down on the floor and being fully engaged with children, whether we're building a fort, creating a masterpiece, having a dance party, or pretending to run a restaurant. I love following a child's interests and creating meaningful moments that help them feel confident, supported, and excited to learn. Most of all, I enjoy building genuine connections with children and making each day fun, positive, and memorable.
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part of being a nanny is building genuine trust, connection, and friendship—not just with the child, but with the parents as well. Creating that foundation allows everyone to feel secure and supported. It’s about becoming a consistent, positive presence in the child’s life while also partnering with parents to reinforce their values and routines. When there's open communication and mutual respect, it creates a nurturing environment where the child can truly thrive.
My experience with special needs children...
While I have not had the opportunity to work directly with children with special needs, I am committed to creating an inclusive, supportive, and nurturing environment for every child. Through my education in Family and Human Development and my experience working with young children, I have learned the importance of meeting each child where they are, adapting to their individual needs, and working closely with families to provide the best possible care. I am eager to continue learning and growing as a caregiver and am open to receiving guidance and training to best support children with diverse needs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite childcare moments is when a child feels comfortable enough to let their personality shine. While babysitting, I loved seeing children go from being a little shy at first to excitedly showing me their favorite toys, creating imaginative games, and inviting me into their world. Building that trust and connection is one of the most rewarding parts of working with children.
