A little bit about me

I'm Haley I'm 24 years old and I have a lot of experience watching children of various ages. I myself have a step son who is five years old I look at him as my own son and I have been in his life from the beginning. I started babysitting in high school and continued after I graduated. Then I worked at a daycare where I would watch anywhere from 15-20 kids daily aged between four and five. Then I helped my mother in law with her in home daycare where I helped take care of kids ranging from one year old to middle school aged. I believe I have a lot of experience taking care of children and I love to! I also have worked in a few factories after all my experiences of watching kids and I would love to get back in the swings of things!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I started off baby sitting two girls when I was in high school and the youngest was five at the time and the oldest was seven at the time. I watched them from 2011 to 2015 on a regular basis and I loved it! They were very great kids and very easy going I enjoyed spending time with them and building a relationship with them and their family over the years. After I did that I jumped right into working at a daycare where I was in charge of 15-20 kids aged four and five. I started in the spring of 2016 working part time there and I enjoyed it but it was a little hectic and overwhelming at times which would eventually result in my departure from there in the winter of 2016. Then in the spring of 2017 I started helping my mother in law with her in home daycare. She would have kids ranging from a year old to middle school aged kids and I would help her when I could. There was always something to do or someone to help or someone to take care of so I did my best there until the summer of 2017.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

The things I think that are engaging for the children and also enjoyable for the adults would have to be just teaching the children things. For example if a child would need help learning their alphabet or counting or reading I think that is a great thing you can teach them. I love being hands on and not just letting a child be occupied by just technology for long periods of time. Having a five year old step son has really put into perspective that children learn by example and when you are interacting with them and being engaged in what they are learning or doing they thrive!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is being there for the children you are responsible for watching. It's important to be there for them with whatever they may need in any given moment and watch them play and laugh and grow. Being accountable for the children is also very important such as being a role model or someone they can trust is very important to me.

My experience with special needs children...

I do not have experience with special needs children but I am willing to learn and grow with that.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment would be when a child knows they can rely on you to keep them safe and taken care of when their parents can't be there. Having stability and building a relationship with a child or even children you are taking care of is a virtue to kids. They need to know they are safe and that they are in good hands and are being taken care of.
