I was a birth to three teacher at the Nike Child Development Center from [phone number hidden]. I did home school education form two elementary aged children from Jan 2021-September 2021. I have been babysitting and teaching young children from over 20 years in a variety of settings. I now have an MSW and work for an open adoption agency and babysit on the side.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to be outside with children, rain or shine. I enjoy taking children on walks around the neighborhood, bike rides, hikes and doing outdoor arts and crafts. I also enjoy reading, singing and dancing, and board games and puzzles. Cooking can also be a fun activity to include children in.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I want to provide safety and security to both children and their parents. I think kids need consistency so I will always aim to be on the same team as parents as far as expectations and routines. I want all children who I work with to feel loved and have fun!
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with children with all kinds of emotional and physical needs, including children in the foster cares system and children living in developing countries. I know a handful of useful baby sign language words and have patience for children with all skill sets and personalities.
