Hi! My name is Halonah but you can call me Halo or Hal. I’m an energetic and creative 26 year old. I started out in film school, but recently fell into nannying and I love it so much.

I approach caring for your kids with tenderness and love, treating them as if they were my own and aiming to become a cherished member of your family. My focus is on giving your child a safe, nurturing, routine-focused, and creative space to learn and grow into a wonderful person. I love outdoor activities and nature walks, pretend play, encouraging independent time, and special weekly outings when appropriate. I’m firm but kind, and will work with you on any challenges your child may come to.

In my personal time I love to play tennis, walk, hike, and bike, and play board games with my friends. I love to cook and travel! I'm excited to meet you and your family!

Provide in-home care comprehensive care for twin girls:
- Created a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment
- Planned and executed age-appropriate activities on a daily and weekly basis. Supervised activities at all times.
- Prepared, organized, and feed meals and snacks for the week as age appropriate. Occasionally meal-prepped for weekends.
- Washed dishes used by girls and loading/unloading the dishwasher as needed for girls
- General clean up after the girls such as messes on floors and counters.
- Kept toys and play areas clean and organized
- Managed and completed the children's laundry (clothes, sheets, blankets etc. as necessary
- Assisted with bath time, ensuring the children's hygiene and safety.
- Changing the girls diapers as needed and emptying the diaper pail when full.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

infant: tummy time! sensory play, gentle baby massages, peekaboo, making silly faces, singing.

toddler: messy play - exploring different textures (play dough, water, sand). Outdoor play and nature walks. Engage with the child by asking them what they're seeing and hearing.

child ages 4-6: arts and crafts - drawing, painting, crafting. I watched a 3 year old who lovedddd to water the plants. Role-playing. Set up a pretend play area with costumes, props, play "the floor is lava". Read books together and discuss the stories.

7+: age appropriate board games, sports! soccer, basketball etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being a nanny is one of the most fulfilling jobs I have ever had. Having the opportunity to positively impact children's lives and witness their growth and development is so so special. Building strong positive relationships and bonds with both the children and their parents is also rewarding. But effectively communicating with the parents to ensure alignment in caregiving approaches and expectations, is also vital.
