A little bit about me

Hi families! 😊 My name is Hannah Alexander, and I’m a warm, caring, and bubbly person who genuinely loves helping others and creating a positive, nurturing environment. I’m patient, attentive, and compassionate, and I believe every child deserves to feel safe, loved, heard, and understood. I pay close attention to the little details, from each child’s unique needs and emotions to the small things that help them feel comfortable and secure. I understand the importance of patience, consistency, and kindness when caring for children, and I love creating an environment where they can learn, grow, explore, and feel free to be themselves. I strive to build trusting relationships with both children and parents through open communication, reliability, and genuine care. I would love the opportunity to become a supportive, dependable part of a family and provide care that gives parents peace of mind and children a warm, happy place to thrive! 💕

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Background in ABA therapy, as well as caregiving for young and adults with Autism. I also have experience caregiving for adults as I was my mother's caregiver prior to her passing

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love keeping children engaged through fun, creative, and age-appropriate activities! Some of my favorites include arts and crafts, games, outdoor adventures, nature walks, hiking, jumping rope, drawing with sidewalk chalk, and collecting interesting rocks and little treasures from nature. I also enjoy encouraging imaginative play, playing games with siblings, and finding fun ways for children to learn, explore, and express themselves. I believe some of the best memories come from the simplest activities, and I love creating opportunities for children to laugh, be curious, stay active, and just be kids! 💕

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and nurturing environment where children feel comfortable being themselves. It's about more than just supervising children; it's about building trust, being attentive to their individual needs and emotions, and helping them feel heard, valued, and understood. I think patience, consistency, and kindness go a long way in helping children feel secure and confident as they grow. I also believe it's important to support each child's individuality, encourage their curiosity, and make everyday moments fun and meaningful. Above all, I want both children and parents to feel that they have someone dependable, compassionate, and genuinely invested in their family's well-being.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working with children with special needs through my background in ABA therapy, as well as providing care for individuals with autism. These experiences have taught me the importance of meeting each child where they are, understanding their individual needs, and adapting my approach to help them feel comfortable, supported, and successful. I understand that every child communicates, learns, and experiences the world differently, and I strive to provide care that is patient, compassionate, and respectful of their individuality. I value building trust, celebrating each child's progress and milestones, and creating a safe, positive environment where they can grow and thrive at their own pace. 💕

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments in caregiving is seeing a child come out of their shell, gain confidence, and feel comfortable enough to be their silly, unique self around me. I love the little moments that may seem small to others, like a child excitedly showing me something they made, sharing a story about their day, or reaching for me when they need comfort. Those moments remind me how meaningful it is to be someone a child feels safe with and trusts. Being able to make children feel loved, understood, and supported while watching them learn and grow is one of the most rewarding parts of caring for them.
