A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Hannah, I’m 16 and a junior at Gallatin High school. I have always loved kids and, after working at the Dino-Drop In , I also fell in love with working with kids. I am currently looking for a full time nanny position in the summer time. I am also willing to start before summer , and carry on after summer. Im willing to do cooking , run errands , housecleaning , work with animals ect. I have a car, I am vaccinated and would prefer to work with a vaccinated family, I am working on getting cpr and first aid training. I have taken both of the Child Occupation classes at my school. In this classes I learned a lot about how the child’s brain works , the stages that the children are in at each age and how to care for them during each stage, the basics of child care, ect. I have dreamed of being a nanny sense I was a little girl and am very excited to start meeting with families and find one to work with ! (:

I worked at the Dino- Drop in as an assistant teacher for about 6 months.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

When I worked at the drop in we would walk the kids to the park and I thought it was so fun!! Watching all the kids interact with each other and seeing the games they made up was an awesome experience for me . (:

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, I think the most important part is creating a relationship not only with the kids, but with the family. I feel that when someone hires a nanny , they are hiring an addition to the family. As a nanny I feel you need to understand what the kids want , but also what the parents need.

My experience with special needs children...

I work with the special ed kids at my school. They are teenagers, not children , but I love working with them! I’m not super experienced on a lot of the skills because there was always the main teacher around. I took a culinary class with them so I helped them learn to cook and with their homework!

The most important part about being a nanny...

There was so many good times when I worked at the Dino-Drop in. One of my favorites is when one of the younger girls came up to me crying because of “ how much she loved me” , she gave me a kiss on the cheek and sat with me for a while. Another good one I remember is this older boy would come in after school , he’d sit with the little kids and everyday he had a new adventure planned. One day they were going to go to Japan , the next they were building a rocket ship!!! The little kids would get so excited , when there parents came they’d be like “ Mom guess what , I’m going to Hawaii with my friends ! “ It was absolutely adorable!!!
