A little bit about me

I love watching children discover new things and being brave to try something they have never done before. This has come from starting with teaching high school students, then moving to 2nd grade, and last teaching preschool. During the years I did not teach, I was a stay at home mom that did in home daycare for 5 years. The children definitely became a part of our family. I am looking for something part-time that will allow me to still be a loving wife, caring mother, and a help to our community.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love taking them to the library to engage with other children during story times. The outdoors are a must. I enjoy doing a seasonal project with the kids to keep and put up on the wall.

The most important part about being a nanny...

is to teach the children how to show kindness and love to all people during their play. As they see and then practice how to be this, so much of their life skills will be taught.

The most important part about being a nanny...

is when we were playing and the older child was teaching his younger sibling how to do a skill I had taught him. It doesn't always happen but things we talk about and practice, will become natural in their play.
