More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have taken care of my own siblings from when they were babies until I moved out of my parents’ house. I also was a live in nanny for a 1 year old little boy and 10 year old girl for a short amount of time. In early 2024 I also was a part time nanny for a 10 month old little girl for 2 months, when the family moved.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Going outside is very important to me, so even just walks around the neighborhood are an activity that I believe are enjoyable. Also, going to the park, practicing shapes and colors, and drawing/coloring.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Being a nanny is more than just being someone that watches after children for 8 hours a day. It requires effort on my part to get to know the child and create a bond with them that will ensure happiness and comfortability.
My experience with special needs children...
I have not personally cared for any children with special needs but I do have family members who do have special needs. I am patient and very willing to learn any child’s daily needs and wants and how to properly care for them.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments with a little boy I nannied for was he was a very quiet and reserved baby. He had a past where he wasn’t shown very much love. He would sit and observe all day, until I was able to help him break out of his shell and I earned his trust. He started to reach for me to carry him and hold him and we would laugh together. I was the only person he would do that with. We created a special bond together.
