More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve been baby sitting since I was 14, I’ve nannied for multiple families with children ranging in age from 0 - 10 years old. My duties often included school pick up and drop off, meal prep, light house keeping and chores related to the children. I was also responsible for coming up with fun, age appropriate and educational activities.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Reading, painting, swimming(I swam competitively for 15 years), puzzles, coloring, cooking, trips to the zoo, and so much more. I love coming up with new and fun activities that keep the children engaged and having fun, while also taking into consideration the benefits the activities may provide both educationally and developmentally.

The most important part about being a nanny is ensuring the safety and well-being of the children while creating a nurturing environment that fosters their development. Building a trusting relationship with both the children and their parents is crucial, and I believe this is achieved through reliability, open communication, and adapting to the family’s needs. I focus on engaging the children in activities that promote learning and creativity, while maintaining professionalism and respecting the family’s privacy. My adaptability and patience help me handle the unexpected and provide a positive and supportive environment for the children!

My experience with special needs children...

I worked in a group home for the severely disabled, this included children with disabilities including; blind/non-verbal, non-verbal/wheelchair bound, non-verbal/epilepsy/wheelchair bound, bed bound/non-verbal. While I do have experience in this area, this is not my expertise.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Showing up everyday and having the children run up to me excited to see me! It’s such a great feeling knowing they are not only comfortable with me, but excited about spending the day with me.
