I enjoy going to parks and ice cream parlors with the youngsters I babysit. I also enjoy meal prepping and cooking/baking with the children. As well as playing board games and listening to kid appropriate music!
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for a little boy while he was 3 and 4 years old who is on the autism spectrum. I payed close attention to his needs and preferences, his triggers and his dislikes. I soon learned that the boy was a phenomenal mathematician even at his young age. Working with and caring for this boy showed me that special needs is not a disability but a different ability. All you need is an environment conducive to creativity, learning and self-expression enable to really allow children to flourish.
