A little bit about me

Hi families! My name is Hayley, and I’m a part-time college student looking for a part-time nanny position with a wonderful family. I’m CPR and First Aid certified and have taken courses in early childhood education, which have helped shape my passion for creating safe, supportive, and engaging environments for children.
I would describe myself as a nurturing, patient, grounded, and reliable person. My approach to working with children centers around play-based learning, creativity, and encouraging curiosity while ensuring children feel seen, supported, and cared for.
I grew up in the San Fernando Valley and love spending time outdoors, practicing yoga, and finding new ways to stay creative and active. I truly value building meaningful connections with families and being someone children can trust, learn from, and have fun with.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked at an early childhood education center as a toddler teacher for children ages 15 months to 3 years old. In this role, I created monthly lesson plans with developmentally appropriate activities that encouraged learning through play, creativity, and exploration. I supported children’s daily routines, including meals, diapering, nap time, and social-emotional development while creating a safe and nurturing classroom environment.
I was a travel nanny for a 4-year-old boy, where I provided consistent care both at home and while traveling to different locations. My responsibilities included preparing meals, transportation to activities and appointments, engaging in play and learning activities, and maintaining his evening and bedtime routines.
I nannied for two girls, ages 2 and 5, where I planned arts and crafts, creative play, and outdoor activities. I supported their daily routines, including meals, nap time, and creating a fun, safe, and nurturing environment.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Some of my favorite activities to do with children include outdoor play, arts and crafts, reading books, and imaginative play. I love creating activities that encourage creativity, curiosity, and learning while allowing children to have fun and express themselves. I enjoy following children’s interests and finding ways to turn everyday moments into opportunities for exploration, connection, and growth.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part about being a nanny is being someone a family can truly trust. Parents are placing their children in your care, and I understand how important it is to create a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where children feel comfortable and cared for.
I also believe consistency, patience, and strong communication with families are essential in building a positive relationship and providing the best care for each child.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments has been watching the children I care for develop their own unique personalities. It has been so meaningful to build strong connections with children and know that I’m someone they feel safe, comfortable, and supported by.

Hi, I’m Melanie
Caring for children is something I genuinely enjoy, and I love being part of their everyday adventures and milestones. Whether we’re doing arts and crafts, building puzzles, reading stories, playing at the park, going for walks, preparing healthy meals, or simply sharing lots of laughs, I strive to make every day fun, engaging, and full of learning.
