More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I’ve been a teacher for the past three years and have several years of experience working with children in a variety of roles. In addition to nannying and babysitting, I’ve also worked as an enrichment guide, teaching STEM and dance classes, and I previously served as both manager and instructor for children’s cooking classes. I bring a well-rounded, engaging approach to childcare and always aim to create a fun, safe, and developmentally supportive environment for the kids I work with.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love planning fun, age-appropriate activities that keep kids engaged, learning, and having a great time. Some of my favorites include arts and crafts, outdoor play, sensory bins, baking simple recipes together, and themed storytime sessions. I also enjoy incorporating music, movement, and creative games into our day. For older kids, I like doing STEM activities, building projects, and helping with homework in a fun, low-stress way. I always try to follow their interests while encouraging creativity, independence, and confidence.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is building trust—with both the kids and the parents. Kids need to feel safe, loved, and understood, and parents need to know their child is in capable, reliable hands. That relationship of trust is what makes everything else learning, play, and growth possible.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with children who have a range of special needs, including those on the autism spectrum, as well as kids with OCD, ADD, ADHD, and mobility challenges. I understand the importance of patience, structure, and individualized support, and I always aim to create an inclusive, understanding environment where every child feels safe, seen, and supported. I’m comfortable adapting activities and routines to meet each child’s needs, and I work hard to build trust and consistency in my care.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was when a 4-year-old confidently told me he couldn’t eat broccoli because he was “allergic to green.” He then proceeded to eat three green gummy bears without hesitation. Kids really keep you on your toes!
