My experiences as a special educator mostly focused on students with emotional and behavioral challenges, Autism, ADHD, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Learning Disabilities, Speech and Language Impairments, Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, children with Down Syndrome and other genetic disorders, epilepsy, and honestly there are many more.

The second day of my long-term nanny position the girls (ages 1, 3, and 5 years old) began creating sea animals and ocean scenes with recycled materials, found items, etc. and taped them around the windows of their play room. Those decorations lived in their summer home for 10 years, out lasting our time together and into their teens.
