More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Caring for children has been part of my life from a very young age. I began babysitting at 11 years old and continued caring for neighborhood and family children throughout my teen years, which taught me responsibility and attentiveness early on.
As a mother of four sons, I have hands-on experience through every stage of childhood — managing school routines, activities, friendships, and all the milestones in between. I understand the importance of patience, consistency, and creating a calm, secure environment.
I also served as a room mom during my children’s school years, helping coordinate classroom activities and support teachers and families. Throughout my 25 years as a business owner, I built long-standing relationships with families in my community and have always been someone others could depend on.
My experience blends lifelong caregiving with real-life parenting, and I bring warmth, structure, and steady guidance into every home.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy creating simple, meaningful experiences that keep children engaged and supported throughout the day. Depending on their age and interests, I love reading together, doing arts and crafts, baking simple treats, and encouraging imaginative play.
For younger children, I focus on sensory activities, music, storytelling, and hands-on play that supports early learning and creativity. For school-age children, I’m happy to help with homework, practice reading skills, work on small projects, or spend time outdoors.
I also believe in the importance of routines, so I enjoy helping children feel confident with daily responsibilities like tidying up, preparing simple snacks, and building independence in age-appropriate ways.
Most of all, I enjoy being present — listening, encouraging, and creating a warm environment where children feel safe to explore, learn, and simply be themselves.

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is building trust — both with the child and with the parents. Children thrive when they feel safe, heard, and consistently supported, and parents need to feel confident that their child is in caring, capable hands.
I believe a nanny should provide more than supervision. It’s about creating a steady, nurturing environment where children can grow, explore, and develop confidence. Patience, kindness, and clear communication are essential.
For me, being a nanny means showing up reliably, respecting family values and routines, and caring for each child with genuine warmth and attentiveness every day.

My experience with special needs children...
While I do not have formal professional experience in special education settings, I have spent time around children with developmental and intellectual disabilities through family friends. These experiences helped me understand the importance of patience, consistency, and adapting to each child’s individual needs.
As a mother of four, I’ve learned that every child is unique and benefits from kindness, structure, and clear communication. I am attentive, calm under pressure, and willing to follow parents’ guidance closely to ensure routines and care plans are respected.
I am open, compassionate, and eager to learn. If given clear direction from parents or caregivers, I am committed to providing a supportive and safe environment where every child feels valued and understood.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments caring for children is watching their confidence grow in something they once struggled with. Whether it’s sounding out a new word while reading, trying a new food, or learning to tie their shoes, those small victories are incredibly meaningful.
I especially love the quiet moments — reading together before rest time, hearing about their day after school, or seeing their excitement when they’ve created something they’re proud of. Those simple interactions build trust and connection.
For me, the most rewarding part of caring for children is knowing I’ve helped create a day where they felt safe, encouraged, and genuinely seen.
