Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love play time outside and giving children the opportunity to explore new things. Small field trips (i.e. Zoo, water park, etc) is something I love to coordinate and participate in. Dancing and creative expression is also something I enjoy as well as teaching life skills through fun games like emotional honesty, reading, counting, etc.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Helping a child become a successful and well-rounded adult.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience with teaching children in IEP. I also have experience with children and teens with behavioral and mental disabilities (PTSD, Bipolar, Aggression, etc.)
The most important part about being a nanny...
Honestly, the most memorable nanny moment was when I broke my four year old out of his shell. He was such a serious child and was developing anxiety and OCD behaviors. As a result, I tried every day to get him to loosen up and learn to let things go. We'd have random dance parties that he at first refused to participate in. Over time, he'd laugh at my silly dance moves. We'd do every day activities, and without warning, I'd break out the music and start dancing. One day, he initiated the random dance party, and that was when I knew he was beginning to heal that part of himself that felt anxious and felt the need for control. After that, he went along with whatever random dance time that I initiated.

Hey there I'm Eli, a 19 year old just trying to earn some money and get out of the house. I'm CPR and AED certified through the American Heart Association, always been great with kids due to essentially raising my own younger siblings, and generally enjoy taking care of people and helping out. My younger brother is special needs so I have plenty of experience with that. I'm a creative writer with experience in psychology and deep research strictly for the sake of education and curiosity so coming up with creative, engaging, and beneficial activities is never a problem. My goal in this work is to give parents a safe and fun person to trust their children with when they need to. My goal for myself is to make enough money to finally get out on my own.

I know that patience is the way to go with children. I am currently a college student at Fresno State. I am the eldest of 4 siblings and part of my responsibility was to care for them. Not only do I have work experience with children but I also have lived with many younger children my entire life. This included having the house cleaned, helping them with their work, and playing... because every child needs to play. I would be extremely cooperating with interviews and don't mind having busy schedules to fit the children's needs.
