I have volunteered at my church in elementary childcare. I have also been babysitting for most of my teenage years and recently I've been taking school groups (public, private, and homeschool) through field trips at Smallin Civil War Cave. I've worked with kids of all ages, mainly from preschool to eighth graders.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy finding ways to help kids learn in fun ways, especially outside. Getting off electronics and playing outdoors is very important to help develop their imagination and creativity. I also do enjoy indoor activities such as arts and crafts, playing with toys, watching movies, playing video games (not my forté, but I'm willing to learn), and general spending time together.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Being there and available for the kid(s) to listen to them and help them learn and grow and spending time doing stimulating activities to prevent boredom. Mainly, I think being a friend and a guide to help through daily life.
